We are a boutique, independent law firm with short own history, but with experienced and professional staff. We have been working in maritime law in Latvia and abroad since 1993.
Our clients are Latvian and foreign ship owners, managers, P&I clubs, marine underwriters, ship agencies, ship-chandlers, bunker suppliers, shipyards, banks and companies operating in any other areas related to marine and shipping business.
Our effective cooperation with correspondent lawyers all over the world (including countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America) gives us an opportunity to provide our clients with quick and competent legal support.
We are an active member of international network of professional law firms practicing ship arrest and supporting services. So with us and with the assistance of ship arrest community our clients can appreciate the best practice of ship arrest and release in various jurisdictions and are guided through certain procedures, paperwork and time bars under various national law systems related to ship arrest.
Our Principal Mr Edward Kuznetsov is a practicing arbitrator himself with the experience to decide disputes in maritime law sphere.
In May 2008 Edward hosted the 5th Shiparrested.com members meeting in Riga.
In 2010 Edward was selected as one of the world’s pre-eminent shipping and maritime lawyers (Who’sWhoLegal).
Since December 2011 Edward is approved as arbitrator - member of the Maritime Arbitration Comission at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (link).

2011-10-20: Ventspils, early October 2011. MLB’s lawyers managed to release from detention 124 cisterns with black oil at the request of one of Gazprom branches.
